ENVISION A LOVELY LIAR Lovely Liars is a story about men, about women, about relationships, about dreams and life in today's modern society. The focus is the life of Jasmine Brown. A woman of intelligence, conviction and courage. A woman born in a small town with big dreams. A woman much like many other women in America in her mid thirties slowly venturing along the crossroads of time bringing to full view the reflection of a female engulfed in past failures, fearful of future successes and searching for the solace that will mend the scars of a broken past. Under the smokescreen of a mid-life crisis, she emerges out of the ashes of yesterday's burnt romances and ignites a new flame of invigorated and renewed hope. In the complexity of the process, she finds the simple vision of her true self. Move with her through the trials, tribulations and triumphs in searching for that storybook perfect male image. Along her fallacy of fantasy, her world is laced with the linings of an often harsh yet profound reality. Looking for a comfort zone within the corridors of masculinity she searches diligently for hope, vision and guidance. Her search is not uncommon for it is shared by the masses of her gender population. Beneath the laughter and the pain, the sorrow and the narrow gain, she uncovers the shadowed mystery of self-love and the gallant glory of self-motivation. Her story will bridge through the hearts of America like loud thunder on a stormy night. Her pain will pierce the skin as quickly as the sharpest knife used by this country's greatest chefs. Her search for the often distant truth yet unveiled shall rivet your soul into a state of motionless drama and surround your very essence. For in an imperfect world, the truth is a mere shadow of total perfection as we all move venomously along the PASSAGE OF LIFE

Beyond Chance and Necessity

Authors: Lorna Green

Type: BOOK - Published: 2003 - Publisher: iUniverse

These essays propose a new “Copernican Revolution”: Consciousness, not matter, is basic in the universe. They are non-technical, simply and clearly written. We live at a historical turning point, a privileged moment of grace among the ages. The achievements of science are dazzling. But modern science has limits, most evident in the attempts to “reduce” consciousness to the brain. Beyond Chance and Necessity, the first essay, claims such a reduction cannot be done. Consciousness is our new frontier and anomalies appearing at the brain/consciousness interface indicate that consciousness cannot be reduced to brain activity and force a revision of explanatory principles unchanged since Plato's time. In particular, near-death experiences, generally disregarded by scientists, undermine the current assumption that matter produces mind and suggest a radical new view of the universe. A New Theory of the Universe presents this view and reverses explanatory principles to claim that consciousness precedes matter. On this view, the author is able to solve the ancient problem of dualism and put civilization on a new foundation. The Spiritual Dimensions of Mental Illness describes the inner side of psychotic episodes, criticizing current psychological models of the self and methods of treatment. A Treatise on the First Principles explores further this consciousness universe and considers the nature of knowing.

One of the most powerful of the Seth Books, this essential guide to conscious living clearly and powerfully articulates the furthest reaches of human potential, and the concept that we all create our own reality according to our individual beliefs. Having withstood the test of time, it is still considered one of the most dynamic and brilliant maps of inner reality available today. “The Seth books present an alternate map of reality with a new diagram of the psyche . . . useful to all explorers of consciousness.” — Deepak Chopra “Seth was one of my first metaphysical teachers. He remains a constant source of knowledge and inspiration in my life.” — Marianne Williamson “I would like to see the Seth books as required reading for anyone on their spiritual pathway. The amazing in-depth information in the Seth books is as relevant today as it was in the early ’70s when Jane Roberts first channeled this material.” — Louise Hay
